Carvell Motorsport - Nurburgring 24hr Class Winners!!!

Carvell Motorsport are pleased to announce that we have achieved our goal of winning class D3T in the prestigeous Nurburgring 24hr race.  In addition to this we were the highest placed diesel car.  Thanks to everyone who helped before, during and after the event...fantastic effort from everyone.

Following a number of low key systems checks at various proving grounds, the stunning new Jaguar XF24 took to the track for the first time in anger yesterday (04/02/12).

VLN 2012 - Stunning new Jaguar XF

January 1st, 2012 sees the launch of a new era for Carvell Motorsport Limited as the team moves to take on the challenge of the formidable Nurburgring Nordschleife in the VLN Championship with an exciting new race car programme.

Running a brand new car for the Championship - a modified 2012 model year Jaguar XF 3.0-litre Diesel S in the D3T class - the team will embark on an intesive test programme in January ahead of the first VLN round in April.

Why a Jaguar XF and not the usual (and highly effective) BMW 330d?  The main team members are Automotive Engineers by day, and the emotive appeal of taking a class-leading, British-designed and built road car and developing it into a competitive racer was one too strong to resist.

Following considerable personal investment by the team members, the XF's transformation from road machine to racer has taken place at Carvell Motorsport's home in Daventry, where technical input from a number of key partners has ensured the car has been built to the highest standard.

In addition to the VLN Championship, the team is also targeting an entry into the formidable 24hr race at the Nurburgring in May, where we intend to run as a fund raising effort in aid of a local children's hospice for children under 5 years old.
